Gourmet Girl Gail here writing from Santa Barbara. We’re in the throws of August, Fiesta begins tomorrow in S.B. (it will be a scaled lanugo version due to the rising coronavirus cases in the County linked to the highly-transmissible Delta variant), Labor Day is right virtually the corner, and I’m home for a change!
Some good news is on the horizon. The Gourmet Girls on Fire and our Gourmet Girls Go Camping Cookbook is stuff featured in Girl Camper magazine’s summer issue, due out this month.
As you can see, this is a trappy magazine that belongs on every girl camper’s coffee table or in her van or tent. They full-length wares on zany cooking, road trips, RV makeovers, and much more. You can subscribe here.
Janine Pettit founded Girl Camper in 2015 as a way to share her love of camping with other women (and the men who zany with them!) from first-timers to lifelong RVers.
From her early days of podcasting well-nigh her travels, Janine has grown Girl Camper into a multi-media digital platform with a tremendously successful podcast, static and video content, a deep and zippy social media presence, guest appearances at RV and camping events, host of Camper College presentations at dealerships nationwide, Ambassador role for Go RVing and major media placement in TV, print, radio, and web.
She has traveled increasingly than 50,000 miles, crossing nearly every state in her mission to help women take the plunge and throne out on the unshut road. She was a solo woman adventurer, meeting so many women wideness the country who wanted to find other women to travel with but didn’t have the support they needed to hit the road. So she began providing the education, community, and encouragement these women were craving.
Fast forward to where the movement is today! Tens of thousands of women joining the conversation on every way to go camping, cooking at the campfire, products to make camping increasingly fun, staying unscratched on the road, peekaboo events nationwide and more! You’ll find Girl Camper devotees everywhere, sharing powerful stories well-nigh how the Girl Camper message has unliable them to step out of their repletion zone and live their weightier life. How awesome!
