Our partner sight, Alloutdoor.com, recently reported a new largemouth bass state record in Kentucky that outweighed its predecessor by almost a full pound. The ginormous fish weighed 14 pounds, 9.5 ounces and reportedly measured 26.8 inches long with a girth of 22.5 inches.

And the records just keep falling in 2020!
South Dakota Game, Fish, and Parks Facebook page recently posted about a largemouth bass caught by Matthew Dunham on Indian Scout Lake April 27, 2020. It weighed 9 pounds 5 ounces, was 23″ long, and had a girth of 19-7/8 inches.
SD’s previous record was set in 1999 by Richard Vierick when he caught a bass weighing two ounces less than Dunham’s new record. Vierick’s fish came out of Hudson Gravel Pit on November 14, 1999.
